Responsibilities:
The Physician Assistant for Neuro Critical care will:
- Evaluate and Manage patients on the neuro critical care service
- Perform history, physical, and neurologic evaluations of critically ill patients
- Perform specialized neurologic evaluations including NIH Stroke Scale, Glasgow Coma Scale, RASS
- request consultations from other services
- Insert Peripheral and central venous land arterial lines
- Administer intrvenous medications as required
Qualifications:
- ALCS and BLCS certified
- Current certification to practice as a Physician Assistant issued by the New York State Department of Education
- NIHSS certified
- ENLS certification within 6 months
- critical care experience
