**Neonatal Nurse Practitioner needed in California**

Located in ***Fresno, CA*** - San Jose 150m, Los Angeles 221m

POSITION DETAILS: Full time 72 hours per pay period Night shift

***SUMMARY:*** The Nurse Practitioner is an Advanced Practice Practitioner who is accountable for a "defined" patient population. Functions in the roles of expert practitioner, consultant, educator, patient advocate, care coordinator and researcher within a specialized area of practice. Possesses and exhibits a high degree of knowledge, skill and competence in the provision of health care directly to the patient, family or community, or indirectly through guidance of care by other professional personnel. Provision of patient care is conducted and performed utilizing the medical model within the scope of licensure and in accordance with applicable law, regulations, and in accordance with policies Healthcare System.

***REQUIREMENTS:*** Current California Registered Nurse Licensure and a graduate of a Nurse Practitioner program. Master's degree in Nursing or a Master's degree in a clinical field related to nursing. California State Certification as a Nurse Practitioner. AANPCP or CPNP required within 6 months of hire/transfer into position.

***Minimum three years related experience.*** Prefer five years of increasingly responsible experience which demonstrates professional working knowledge of nursing theory and practice, with competence in physical assessment, differential diagnosis, pathophysiology, pharmacology and management of acute and chronic neonatal problems.

Must successfully complete the credentialing process through the Medical Staffing office via CIDP for the appropriate scope and practice, written standardize protocols, and furnishing privileges. Bilingual skills desirable. BLS and NRP required.
