Physician Assistant Ocala, FL

We are looking for a motivated Physician Assistant to join our growing medical practice part time in Ocala, FL. The position will require direct patient care, 1-2 days per week, within our practice to start.

We are seeking a provider who can provide high-quality direct patient care and management, is compassionate, a great communicator, enjoys working with the patients and educating them on the benefits of care, and has an interest in restorative, rehabilitative, and regen medicine.

Our ideal candidate has experience or interest in physical medicine and rehab and/or orthopedics, experience working with joint and musculoskeletal pain, and experience with joint and trigger point injections.

Our knowledgeable and well-respected team has medical PM&R doctor, board certified chiropractic orthopedist and healthcare professionals working together for optimal patient results, working to improve our patient’s quality of life. We seek to restore function and treat Musculo-skeletal ailments with an emphasis on alternative treatment methods. These injuries can be caused by anything including falls, sports trauma, whiplash injuries, stress, and even faulty posture. We also treat nerve interference which is a primary cause of headaches, sciatica, pain radiating into the arms and shoulders. Our clinic is committed to finding solutions that help our patients achieve their health and wellness goals. We seek to supplement the body’s healing mechanism with several evidence-based options, the latest advancements in regen medicine.

Duties:

  • Direct patient care, oversight, and management
  • Patient evaluations (medical history, physical exam, review pertinent medical records/imaging/records)
  • Order/review diagnostic imaging
  • Diagnosis and treatment plan formulation
  • Order treatments, modalities as medically necessary
  • Patient education as to care plan options, diagnosis, lifestyle modifications, rehab/corrective actions
  • Collaboration with the healthcare team, doctor, chiropractor, and support staff for comprehensive patient care
  • Treatments to include Intra-articular and trigger point injections, and regen injections (will train the right candidate if necessary)
  • Documentation- timely and accurate
  • Ensure patient care is focused on prevention and function, instead of symptom based

Qualifications:

  • PA-C
  • PA License to practice in FL
  • Interested in learning new skills, treatment protocols, and working with an interdisciplinary team
  • Experience in musculoskeletal/orthopedics, joint injections, and interventional medicine preferred

Schedule:

  • 1-2 days to start

Salary (range):

  • $65-$75 per hour
