OPPORTUNITY:

We are seeking a Board Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with Hospital Medicine experience for a PRN Nocturnist positions to staff our facility at West Calcasieu Cameron Hospital in Sulphur, Louisiana, a suburb of Lake Charles. Work schedule includes a block schedule of 7 on/ 7 off.

HOSPITALIST DEPARTMENT:

We have a 107-bed hospitalist department that includes specialized areas for critical care, mental health and fast track non-critical care designed to improve the care process and reduce waiting times. WCCH has 24/7/365 coverage of board-certified Internal and Family Medicine providers.

Hospital Department Statistics:

  • Night coverage from 7pm-7am
  • Round on patients from the emergency department, admits and discharges
  • Wellsoft EMR
  • Excellent specialty backup and physician support
  • Supportive nursing and administrative staff
  • NO codes, procedures, on-call schedule, adolescents, or OB coverage
  • 300 hours of Hospitalist Department Experience required over the last 2 years as a Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner
