Description:

• Full-time, hospital-employed position

• Open to Physician Assistant, ACNP or AGACNP

• 7 on 7 off schedule with rotating days and nights

• Conduct a comprehensive health history and physical examination

• Analyze data to identify normal and abnormal health characteristics to develop a differential diagnosis

• Order, perform and review diagnostic and therapeutic tests and procedures based on either written protocols and procedures or as delegated by the supervising physician

• Collaborate with the healthcare team, patients, and their families to define outcomes of care

• Develop a comprehensive plan of care in collaboration with the supervising physician

• Prescribe and implement interventions consistent with the plan of care

• Document health information in a retrievable format for communication to other healthcare professionals and to facilitate appropriate coding and billing for services

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a PA, ACNP, or AGACNP preferably in hospital medicine

• Ability to build rapport with patients

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Strong leadership qualities
