Established Hospitalist program looking to hire an additional Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner.

The hospitalist leads the hospital interdisciplinary team to improve efficiency and facilitate continuum of care for patients from admission through the discharge process. This continuum of care includes general adult medicine, internal medicine consults as requested, critical care management, and management of patients with comorbidities.

Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive care from admission to discharge for Emergency Department patients. Coordinate services with other community care providers and health care institutions.

License or Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, Nurse Practitioner (NP) License or Physician Assistant (PA) License in state of New York required, current DEA or be qualified to apply for it upon hiring.

During days, mid-levels take a lighter load of patients (and less acute) rounding, maybe a couple of admissions.
At nights, they take the house calls and also maybe a couple of admissions

Schedule is ~3/12's per week. 8a-8p or 8p-8a
