Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant – Inpatient Hematology BMT

Join a highly skilled, dynamic group of APPs on the inpatient Hematology, Blood and Marrow Transplant unit in San Francisco area. The patient population includes those being treated for hematologic malignancies and those receiving stem cell transplant or cellular therapies.

Work variable days of the week (days and evening shifts), including 3 to 4 weekend shifts a month.

12 hour shift

Sign On Bonus - $10,000

Required Qualifications

  • At least 3 years of direct experience in inpatient adult hematology, oncology and/or blood and marrow transplant as a PA or RN, NP or combination thereof
  • Demonstrated competence in the following areas: clinical practice, communication, clinical case management, leadership, problem identification/resolution, and teaching
  • Flexibility to orient and work at all Medical Center locations

Preferred Qualifications

  • At least one (1) year of experience as an advanced practice nurse in an academic medical center

Licenses/Certifications

  • California driver’s license (CDL) if required for position
  • Must hold current national certification from an accepted certifying agency and provide by first day of work
  • Must hold a current and active PA or RN and NP and Furnishing license in California
  • Must have completed a BRN recognized graduate master’s degree program as a nurse practitioner or PA program
  • Must obtain an active and/or transferable DEA license to California and provide evidence by 90th day of clinical practice. (It is the responsibility of the employee to transfer their DEA license to their new place of employment if from out of state, via online DEA portal and provide evidence of transfer)
  • Must have submitted enrollment with CMS Medicare and Medicaid through credentialing by first clinical day. CCS enrollment as appropriate for pediatric environments
  • Must hold current AHA BLS as minimum requirement
  • State regulation requires that you have a supervising physician to practice
