Clinicas del Camino Real, Inc. is seeking a certified Family Medicine Physician Assistant to join our team and practice at our health centers located throughout Ventura County.

Details & Requirements for this opportunity:

Schedule: Monday – Friday, clinic hours are 9am-5:30pm 9-5:30pm, with two late clinic days on Mondays and Thursdays where the clinic hours are from 11:30 am-8pm (provider will work 8-hour days)

Position Overview

Under the supervision of a supporting Physician and following written guidelines of protocol, provides primary care to patients in a primary health care clinic.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

Takes complete and accurate personal health histories, performs screening physical examinations, including assessments and recommendations for further evaluation; screens laboratory results, X-Ray’s, EEG’s, brings abnormalities to physician’s attention; diagnoses and treats, within limits of clinical competency, conditions requiring short or long-term management and coordinates follow-up care of patients. Performs varied clinical procedures under physician’s supervision. The Physician Assistant is a participating member of the quality assurance committee, which reviews, executes and develops the written policies of Clinicas services.

Education, Experience and Qualifications

Graduate of a Physician’s Assistant Program approved by the California State Board of Medical Quality Assurance. Possession of a certificate or letter of approval to practice as a Physician’s Assistant by the State Board of Medical Quality Assurance. Knowledge of diagnostic and treatment techniques used in practicing primary medicine. Ability to diagnose, treat and refer medical reports; work effectively with other staff in coordinating the delivery of primary health care services.
