Physician Assistant need on Midway Atoll (1500 miles northwest of Hawaii)
This is a temporary contract assignment from November 2016 - February 2017 (Can be somewhat flexible)
40 average people on the island at one time. No children are allowed on the island, all adult population. There are few military personel. 90% of people on the island are Wildlife Refugee Volunteers.
You would be the only healthcare provider on the island. Would be there to treat standard primary care issues (bumps, bruises, colds, coughs, etc.) It is a very health population due to strict requirements to be on the island.
24 hour call on the remote island. Solo coverage. May see 1-2 patients per day in the clinic.
Client will handle all travel arrangements. Private room/apartment provided. All meals and travel provided.
Must be a board certified PA and have a clean background and be in good health.
Must either have a HI license or at leat be willing to start the process. The HI license does not have to be active by the time the assignment starts a long as it is in process.
