Hartford HealthCare is seeking a full-time Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for multi-provider, family medicine primary care practice seeing patients of all ages in the town of Meriden in south-central Connecticut.

Position details:

  • Family Medicine - Primary Care (pediatrics and adults)
  • Full-time, ask about a 4 day scheduled work week option!
  • Weekdays only
  • No weekends
  • No phone call for work/life balance

Advanced Practitioner (APP) Role Scope:

Under established guidelines and in collaboration and/or supervision with the practice physician(s), performs routine physical examinations, and formulates medical, educational, and psychosocial plans to treat patient. In consultation with the physician(s), develops plan for further evaluation of health needs, e.g., referral to other health team members or specialists. Provide appropriate treatment for problems within scope of a Nurse Practitioner (APRN) or Physician assistant (PA) practice as designated by protocols. Identifies problems outside of APRN or PA scope of practice and refers appropriately to physician.

Requirements:

  • At least one year of post-graduate experience as a Nurse Practitioner or PA
  • Unrestricted State of Connecticut medical license (or eligible)
