Nurses Etc. Staffing has a ongoing need for Physician Assistants at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri, a military community located in the beautiful south central Missouri Ozarks that covers more than 61,000 acres. Fort Leonard Wood is located two short hours from St. Louis.

Position Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Degree: The HCW shall have graduated from an accredited master’s level or doctoral PA program with additional knowledge to participate in their clinical specialty.
  • Education: Graduate from an accredited college or university certified by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education of the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA).
  • Certification: Certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician’s Assistants (NCCPA).
  • Have and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification. BLS certification shall be from the American Red Cross (ARC). American Heart Association certifications may be accepted by GLWACH policy on a case by case basis for all other certifications until American Red Cross provides equivalent courses then ARC certification shall be required at all times without exception. Online BLS, ACLS, PALS or NRP courses do not satisfy the requirement for this training. Recertification shall be maintained at contractor expense in a current status at all times while the HCW is performing services under this contract.
  • Experience: The HCWs shall have a minimum of two year’s full time experience as a hands-on practicing full scope HCW in the last three years. Time spent in an administrative capacity as a claims reviewer, medical school instructor, medical director, consultant, internet or tele-medicine HCW, HCW conducting a study, etc. does not qualify as practicing time.

Licensure/Registration: Possess and maintain a current unrestricted license to practice as a physician assistant or nurse practitioner in any of the 50 United States, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, Guam or the U.S. Virgin Islands. The HCW shall have and maintain a current, valid, unrestricted DEA certificate and possess a Bureau of Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs (BNDD) number as required by state agencies where the provider is licensed.
