Job Duties and Responsibilities

NP/PA job responsibilities include:

  • Compile medical history for each patient
  • Take appropriate patient measurements
  • Track therapy, prescribe medicine, perform physicals
  • Perform minor surgical procedures in-office
  • Keep accurate electronic medical records
  • Take patient calls and determine next steps
  • Determine appropriate actions to medical emergencies
  • Follow HIPAA guidelines

Qualifications

NP/PA required skills & qualifications include:

  • PA grad degree
  • Up-to-date state license
  • CDS permit
  • Up-to-date DEA license
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support/Basic Life Support certification
  • Assist in patient transfers
  • Efficient and able to quickly switch gears
  • Able to work autonomously
  • Able to travel between clients
  • Compassionate, friendly, and patient
  • Computer skills required
  • CQI knowledge
  • Advanced writing and math knowledge
  • Able to solve problems using critical thinking
