Federal Staffing Resources is seeking to hire a full-time Physician Assistant to provide excellent care in Watertown, New York at the Connor Troop clinic on Fort Carson Army base. This is a civilian position that will work with both civilian and military personnel to provide a full range of medical services to the active duty military service members, military retirees, and their families. Any U.S. state license is honored.

A DAY IN THE LIFE AS A PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT

As a Physician Assistant, you perform medical examinations and treatment in the specialty of Family Practice and Orthopedics. You provide comprehensive and continuing medical care for patients from Infants to Geriatrics including initiate requests for laboratory tests and x-rays, prepare and document appropriate history, physical examinations and diagnosis, prescribe medications, refer all requests for patient/MTF information that cannot be handled by clinic personnel, perform a general physical examination, and plan and initiate proper treatment. Our clinic staff members depend on you for directing and teaching, providing educational lectures, and helping with the provision of in-service training.

You offer a full range of physician assistant services and our patients are comfortable talking to you about their care. You make appropriate patient referrals and quickly react to emergency situations. Through education and counseling, you promote preventative and health maintenance care. People want to have a provider that they can trust and feel comfortable with, and you are just that!

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Physician Assistant Certification by the NCCPA
  • PA License - valid, unrestricted. any U.S. state or jurisdiction honored.
  • DEA
  • ACLS
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Graduate: Physician Assistant educational program accredited by CAHEA on behalf of the AMA
  • Two (2) years within the past five (5) years practicing family medicine or primary care, preferably in an urgent care and/or family practice type setting with a focus on orthopedics

WORK SCHEDULE

This position has a Monday-Friday schedule with daytime hours. No weekends, no nights, no on-call/call back, and holidays off.
