Physician Assistant Reno, NV

We are looking for a motivated Physician Assistant to join our Medical Practice in Reno, NV. We are offering a flexible schedule and will consider either a full time or part time employment opportunity.

We are looking for a compassionate provider, who pays attention to detail, is passionate about helping others and providing high-quality patient care. Experience in pain management is preferred but we are willing to train the right candidate as well. The job duties entail providing pain management for patients suffering from both acute and chronic pain because of cancer, trauma, or aging. The main responsibility of the PA is to assess the patient to determine extent of pain and follow pain treatment guidelines and protocols to help improve the patient’s quality of life.

Our providers have been bringing high quality care to the community of Reno for over 20 years!

Duties:

  • Patient exams/evaluations (medical history, physical exam, HPI, review pertinent imaging/records/reports)
  • Diagnosis and treatment plan formulation
  • Order and review diagnostic studies when medically relevant
  • Manage Patient care and progress (including medication management and procedures)
  • Procedures to include Joint injections, trigger point injections, US guided injections, Migraine therapies (botox)
  • Referral to MDs for procedures such as Epidural injections, Kyphoplasty, etc.
  • Consultation/Collaboration with the MD’s, PA’s, and other support staff for comprehensive care
  • Documentation/Charting-timely and accurate
  • Patient follow up and regular progress visits
  • Patient education as to treatment plan options, diagnosis, and medication management

Requirements:

  • Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program
  • Nevada PA license
  • Pain management experience a plus, but we are willing to train as well

Schedule:

  • M-F 8a to 5p (8 hr day) or four 10 hr days
  • No holiday, no call, no weekends required
  • Flexible hours may be available (may consider PT vs FT)

Compensation with bonus (range):

  • $120k-$140k per year (depending on experience)
