*GENERAL DESCRIPTION*
Responsible for assisting the Endocrinologist in providing healthcare to patients and families concentrating on health maintenance, disease management, education and counseling.
*WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS*
* Minimum of three years professional nursing experience in an office setting.
* Two (2) years of nurse practitioner experience preferred.
* One to three years' Endocrinology experience preferred.
*EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS*
* Graduate of an accredited advanced practice nurse program.
* Active Massachusetts RN and advanced practice nurse license in good standing, or ability to obtain.
* Board Certification as a Clinical Nurse Specialist.
* Basic Life Surport (BLS) certification required.
*LOCATION INFORMATION*
* One hour from Boston, MA and Providence, RI
* Forty five minutes from Hartford, CT and Springfield, MA
* Within a half hour of Worcester, MA
* Easy drive to New England seacoasts and the mountains of Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine
