In partnership with NYC Health + Hospitals/Lincoln our teams handle more than 550,000 outpatient visits, more than 144,000 emergency room visits and more than 22,000 inpatient admissions annually. The hospital maintains an academic affiliation with Weill Cornell Medical College.
Responsibilities:
Physician Assistant in Emergency Medicine work under the supervision of EM attending physicians and are focused on the immediate decision making and action necessary to prevent death or any further disability in the emergency department. The physician assistants responsibility include:
- Ordering and interpreting tests
- Obtaining medical history
- performing physical exams
- Diagnosing and treating illnesses
- Ordering prescriptions and performing minor procedures
Shift covers nights, days and weekends
Qualifications:
Preferred:
- Sucessful completion of a physician assistant program
- ACLS
- PALS
Required:
- Meet the medical staff qualificaitions to be credentialed as EM Physician Assistant
- Certified as a Physician Assistant
