Bay Medical Center is the area’s most comprehensive facility offering a full-spectrum of vital health services to our community. Many of our services are ranked among the best in the nation for overall clinical quality including emergency medicine, women’s services, heart care, stroke care, and pulmonary services. Bay Medical is home to the Panama City area’s largest and most heavily utilized Emergency Department and the is the only Designated Level II Trauma Center between Pensacola and Tallahassee in Northwest Florida for Bay, Gulf, Washington and Holmes counties. The ED at Bay Medical provides 24-hour emergent care for life-threatening injuries and illnesses. The ER contains three extra-large trauma rooms as well as 28 private treatment rooms including specialized areas for pediatrics, ENT, obstetrics, orthopedics, and psychiatry. Additionally, an 8-bed “Rapid Response” unit provides more rapid assessment and treatment of patients with illnesses and injuries that are not serious or life-threatening.­
