Icecreamwala Dermatology is actively looking for a full-time Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to add to our growing practice. Working alongside Dr. Devika Icecreamwala, the Physician Assistant will function as a provider of patient care for cosmetic and medical services.

Founded by Dr. Devika Icecreamwala, our practice is based in Berkeley, CA with the commitment to providing outstanding skincare services to all patients and clients. At Icecreamwala Dermatology, our mission is to bring simplicity back to skincare by not only providing personalized treatment options, but also educating on what can be done to maintain youthful, healthy skin.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Workload includes general medical dermatology as well as surgical and cosmetic dermatology
  • Perform comprehensive screenings, history, and physical exams
  • Provide consistent professional injectable treatments such as Juvederm, Voluma, & Botox, with the ability to perform a variety of laser procedures.
  • Assist in all areas of practice operation as requested by practice management.
  • Promote additional services such as skin care products, and other aesthetic services and, soliciting referrals.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum two years’ experience in General and Cosmetic Dermatology required
  • Ensure effective patient care through the implementation of established clinical practice standards, standardized procedures, written and oral treatment protocols, and training
  • Extensive knowledge in dermatological disorders, skin cancer, excisional/surgical procedures, shave biopsies
  • Handle patient questions and concerns professionally and with courtesy.
  • Regularly attend, participate in and support training and staff meetings for the practice.
  • Must have the ability to work autonomously.
  • Have a team-oriented mindset (we love kind people!)
  • Offer clear and consistent documentation of all data related to patient care
  • Act in accordance with our and the medical board policies, standardized procedures, and standards
  • Maintain an active Physician Assistant license for the State of California
  • Provide outstanding customer service skills and interpersonal skills
  • Being efficient/ meticulous with strong attention to detail
  • Maintain consistently interact in a manner that is friendly, supportive, respectful and cooperative with co-workers and physicians
  • Have the ability to learn complex issues of medicine and laser physics and interpreting them in a way patients can understand
  • Have a team-oriented mindset (we love kind people!)
