Seeking Experienced Lead Physician Assistant / Nurse Practitioner

DETAILS

• The Lead APP’s primary responsibility is to care for patients by building highly reliable, high performing APP clinicians who are part of the physician-APP team to produce effective outcomes for their patients and the organization
• The Site Lead APP is responsible for providing leadership of all APP Critical Care staff at a single hospital
• They collaborate with the Regional APP Director, Medical Director, Critical Care physicians, nursing leadership team, and hospital medical staff to ensure the in-patient care delivery model achieves high-quality in-patient care that evolves to match the needs of the patients, the hospital, and the community
• As a leader they are accountable for creating an inclusive work environment, providing recognition, performance coaching and career guidance to the APP team and creating a pipeline of talent for the organization.

CRITICAL CARE

• ICU Volume: 8
• 12 hours physician coverage
• 12 hours APP at night
• Medical ICU patients mainly, no CT surgery, no Neurosurgery
• Closed ICU model

EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT

• ED Volume: 23,000
• ED Beds: 24
• Patients/Hour: 2.0
• EMR is Cerner
• Trauma center Level 4
• Qualifications: BC/BP in Emergency Medicine, or BC/BP in a primary specialty (Family Medicine or Internal Medicine) with recent experience and current ATLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications with Emergency Medicine experience
