Prestigious Health System hiring an experienced cardiothoracic critical care nurse practitioner or physician assistant for a Nocturnist for our Cardiovascular Surgery Department!

This is a full-time role, the candidate will manage Cardiac and thoracic surgery ICU and stepdown patients, see CT patients in ED if they present. Cover inpatient and outpatient calls related to Cardiac and thoracic patients. Write daily morning ICU and step down notes. Place arterial lines, central lines, swan-ganz(PA) catheters, Chest tubes, pneumothorax catheters.

The candidate will work 3 12s one week, then 4 12s the next week and rotate from 7pm-7am. There are 10 CVU beds and 6 stepdown beds. Actual load averages between 2-10 patients per night depending on volume

Additional responsibilities include management of mechanical support, e.g., VA and VV ECMO, intra-aortic balloon pump, chest tubes, central lines and PA catheters.
