Medical Doctor Associates is urgently seeking a Cardiac Surgery Physician Assistant for a locum tenens opportunity in Maine.
MUST HAVE
Minimum of 3 years relevant experience
Active ME License
RESPONSIBILITIES
First assistant in all aspects of cardiac surgery including independent endoscopic vein harvesting
Perform bedside procedures (chest tubes, central lines, thoracentesis) in ICU
Round ICU/floor
SNAPSHOT
Solely hospital-based
Will start with 3-months assignment
Typical hours are 4 days/week (rotation)
Average of one day of call/week; call coverage includes late OR cases, emergency OR cases, bedside procedures after hours and additional ICU support in times of high acuity/census
Potential 1 weekend/month (counts towards the 4 days/week)
Weekend duties include daily rounds in the ICU/floor with note writing on the service and operating room coverage if needed
