Medical Center is seeking a Cardiothoracic Advanced Practice Provider!

Candidate will specialize in Cardiothoracic Clinical patients including Medical, ICU. Will work with a team of over multiple cardiac physician assistants/nurse practitioners! This Opportunity offers a tremendous amount of autonomy, advancement and teaching opportunities. This is an inpatient cardiothoracic surgical postoperative role with hospital rounding and more!

Primary Function: Assist in the implementation of the health care plan and management of Cardiothoracic Surgical Service patients by performing diagnostic and therapeutic tasks as defined by the surgical attending staff. Responsibilities shall be approved by the Medical Staff Board. Responsible for patient care related to pre and post-operative heart surgery and Ventricular Assist Device patients in the CCU and Telemetry unit as defined by surgical attending. Perform and assist with bedside procedures. Assure clear and concise transfer of clinical information between nurses, clinical staff and physicians. Assist in data collecting of information related to any research trials within the department of Cardiothoracic; maintaining communication with other clinical services.

POSITION SUMMARY:Masters-prepared nationally certified clinician who manages the care of a defined patient population as a dominant aspect of the role. Recognized as an interdisciplinary leader within the service area. Consistently demonstrates core competencies of advanced practice in a defined specialty.
