Thriving Cardiology/Internal Medicine practice located in New Hyde Park New York (Nassau County) seeks an experienced Physician Assistant or APRN for both full-time employment and Locum Tenens options.
Requirements:
-Cardiology Nuclear Stress Testing Experience Preferred.
-Cardiology Experience a MUST.
-BCLS/ACLS certified.
Perform initial screenings, patient history, and physical examinations including prescription refills. Will competently supervise and perform exercise stress testing. Knowledge of appropriate indications for exercise testing and alternative physiological cardiovascular tests. Knowledge of appropriate contraindications, risks, and risk assessment of testing (not limited to Bayes’ theorem and sensitivity/specificity, including concepts of absolute and relative risk). Knowledge to promptly recognize and treat complications of exercise testing. Competence in cardiopulmonary resuscitation and successful completion of an AHA-sponsored course in advanced cardiovascular life support and renewal on a regular basis.
