Position Summary: This position performs healthcare tasks delegated by the supervising doctor and demonstrates knowledge of the principles pediatric trauma, growth and development of the life span and also possesses ability to assess data reflective of patient’s status and appropriately interpret information relative to patient’s age-specific needs. Uses advanced trauma clinical knowledge to conduct thorough physical assessments, including human response to illness, injury, functional abilities, and developmental stage, family, and community resources. Collaborates and consults with the patient, significant others, and the healthcare team in providing patient care; making appropriate referrals to systems, agencies, and providers for specialized patient needs.

We are hiring Physician Assistants with Pediatric Cardiac Surgery experience.
Full time Day, evening and weekend shift variations are available.
The Physician Assistant (PA) will be working at the Cardiology and Heart Surgery facility. Assist in the surgical repair of the most complex congenital heart defects, including hypo plastic left heart syndrome. In addition to providing care for children with complex congenital anomalies and other cardiac illnesses/injuries. Exhibit extensive knowledge of artificial cardiac devices, ventilators and the pharmacologic effects of vasoactive/cardio tonic drugs Provides pre, intra (surgical assisting), and post-operative care under the guidance of the Pediatric Cardiologist. Collaborates with other Advanced Practice Providers, and assist in supervising RN, and paraprofessional support staff. Provides standard of care to patients and patient teaching to caregivers.
