Summary

WMCHealth is seeking a Physician Assistant to join the Anesthesiology department at MidHudson Regional Hospital in Poughkeepsie, New York. This is an exceptional opportunity to build an exciting new program model. This is an inpatient and outpatient position. Responsibilities would include assisting with and coordinating patient preparation as well patient recovery in the PACU, and initiating protocols. There will be a brief training period on our main campus in Valhalla, NY. The Physician Assistant would perform and document anesthesia assessments and physical examinations in preparation for a patients surgical or other invasive procedures, requiring anesthesia in the perioperative holding area and/or inpatient floors and possibly in Pre Admission testing.

The successful candidate would preferably have a background in Anesthesiology or Perioperative care. New graduates are encouraged to apply, as well. Applicants must be board certified and possess or be able to obtain a license in New York.
