Physician Assistant - Allergy and Immunology; Allergist

A reputable and well-established Private Practice Group in the North Texas suburbs of Dallas, TX, is seeking an experienced, Allergist Physician Assistant to join their medical practice. This role is open to seasoned and experienced Allergists. Winning culture, competitive pay, and great benefits offered!

Essential Duties Major responsibilities:

  • The allergist will see 10-15 patients per day on average.
  • The general workweek is M-F, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
  • Allergists provide and manage direct patient care, including physical examinations, evaluations, assessments, diagnoses, and treatment for a specified patient population.
  • The allergist works with a team of about 9-other providers with varying specialties.
  • The allergist is responsible for prescribing pharmaceuticals, other medications, and treatment regimens as appropriate to assessed medical conditions.
  • Refers patients to specialists and relevant patient care components as appropriate.
  • Directs and coordinates the patient care activities of nursing and support staff as required.
  • As appropriate to the position, the allergist participates in specified health promotion, education, and/or prevention programs.
  • Knowledge of legal and ethical standards for the delivery of medical care.
  • 100% out-patient.
  • Knowledge of current principles, methods, and procedures for the delivery of medical evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment in the area of expertise.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team
  • Demonstrate understanding and commitment to the health centers mission statement.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Graduate from an accredited PA program with a specialty in allergy and immunology.
  • Authorized to work in the USA.
  • Allergists must hold 2+ years of out-patient care experience within allergy/immunology settings.
  • Current licensure by the Texas Medical Board.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
