As a part of the OptumCare network, Riverside Medical Group is seeking an Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our growing team. Position Highlights

  • Open 8am- 8pm, 7 days per week
  • Providers typically work 12 hour shifts
  • Average patient load = 3-4 patients per hour
  • Full licensed medical team and support staff
  • Responsibilities include:
    • Suturing
    • Splinting
    • Initial interpretation with digital X-Rays
    • Incisions and drainage

Required Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant program
  • Current, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant licensure in the state(s) where this job will be performed or be in process of obtaining
  • Certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner through the ANCC/AANP or certified as a Physician Assistant through the NCCPA
  • Unrestricted DEA license (or willing to obtain prior to start)
  • Must be CPR certified (or willing to obtain prior to start)
  • DOT certification (or ability to obtain within the first 60 days of employment)
  • You will be provisioned with appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and are required to perform this role with patients and members on site, as this is an essential function of this role.
  • Full COVID-19 vaccination is an essential job function of this role. Candidates located in states that mandate COVID-19 booster doses must also comply with those state requirements. UnitedHealth Group will adhere to all federal, state and local regulations as well as all client requirements and will obtain necessary proof of vaccination, and boosters when applicable, prior to employment to ensure compliance. Candidates must be able to perform all essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Clinical experience working as a provider in an emergency medicine or urgent care setting
  • Willing and able to assist at other center locations in the area

Connecticut Residents Only: The salary range for Connecticut residents is $90,500 to $161,600. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
