High Profile Hospital System is Hiring Board Certified Acute Care Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants!

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner, Critical Care! 12-hour rotating shifts – critical care experience required. Will consider experienced newly graduating acute care nurse practitioners with extensive ICU RN experience!

This is a very high acuity with a lot of critically ill patients, will consider with strong ICU backgrounds!

The Nurse Practitioner (NP) will function as a provider of patient care in the fields of Critical Care. Provide full clinical support in the management of surgical critical care inpatients. Provide patient care to include evaluating, planning, and implementing health care treatments for critically ill and injured patients. The position requires a strong emphasis on the complete care of surgical critical care patient from pre- to post-operative settings. Develop and provide patient education.

Participate in research and/or quality improvement studies. Function as liaison with ICU managers, financial counselors, social workers, research nurses and research staff. Position requires special skills and knowledge in the fields of critical care and general surgery. May assume such other duties for other critical care as assigned by the Surgical Critical Care Director.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education: Master's Degree in Nursing from an accredited School of Nursing.

License/Certification: Licensed to Practice as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia required. Licensed to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in the Commonwealth of Virginia required. Licensed to prescribe medication in the Commonwealth of Virginia required. American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required.
