StaffMed Health Partners has partnered with a hospital and local practice in Central Florida to assist them with the recruitment of an Inpatient Cardiac APP to join their rapidly growing cardiothoracic program.

  • Practice Highlights and Qualifications:
    • Must be NCCPA board certified or National Certification by respective accredited professional nursing organization
    • DEA license required (or eligible to obtain)
    • ACLS certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross required
    • Previous cardiothoracic surgery or cardiac experience would be a plus
    • Ideal candidates should have some acute care experience
    • Oversee care for patients in the Cardiac Surgery ICU ranging from CABG and valve replacement, ECMO, aortic dissections and aneurysm repairs
    • Perform beside procedures within the scope of service, write progress notes, participate in daily rounds, write orders, dictate discharge notes, participate in hospital *wide quality improvement initiatives
    • Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to ensure continuity of care
The hospital you will be affiliated with is a 323-bed facility with almost 500 physicians on staff. It is part of a system in the metro area that boasts another 222-bed hospital and 3 freestanding emergency departments. This hospital system includes an Inpatient Rehabilitation Center, Wound Care Center and Imaging Center. With a Level II Trauma Center and the region's only Comprehensive Stroke Center, these facilities offer a host of quality and award-winning services, which include orthopedic, cardiovascular, emergency and neurological care, robotic and weight loss surgery and rehabilitation services.
