Job Description:

The Advanced Practice Provider (APP; nurse practitioner or physician assistant) will join our critical care team at Intermountain Medical Center, a level I trauma center in Murray, Utah. The APP works independently and in close collaboration with physicians and other APPs to provide extraordinary patient care.

While primarily based in our Coronary Intensive Care Unit (CICU), the APP may also float to our other ICUs as needed. They may see a wide variety of conditions and treatments typical in general ICU settings, including acute medical, respiratory, and cardiovascular patients.

At full-time, the APP will typically work 12-hour shifts on a rotating schedule, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays. We anticipate 3–5-night shifts will be required per month. No call time is anticipated.

We prefer that a candidate have previous ICU experience as an APP (preferred) or nurse. An ideal candidate will additionally have previous experience with cardiac patients. A Physician Assistant that has completed a critical care fellowship or a Nurse Practitioner with acute care certification would excel in this position.
