Plasma DNA More Reliable Than CEA for Detecting Recurrent Esophageal Cancer

Elevated free plasma DNA is a reliable indicator of recurrent esophageal cancer, more so than carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA), and is able to detect recurrent disease in most patients before clinical evidence emerges.
