Atomic Bomb Survivors Exposed in Childhood or in Utero at Increased Cancer Risk

Survivors from Nagasaki and Hiroshima who were 6 years of age or less at the time of the atomic bombings are at increased risk of developing solid cancers. The risk is also increased, but apparently not to the same extent, in survivors who were exposed in utero, researchers report in the March 19th issue of the Journal of the National Cancer Institute.
