Description About half of all children presenting with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy have mutations in exactly the same gene as is seen in adults with the condition, a new study has found. Unexplained hypertrophy in childhood should thus prompt genetic evaluation and analysis of all first-degree relatives where possible, say the researchers. Heartwire
