Urologist - Physician - (Urology - Urol) Locum Tenens
StartDate: 10/27/2014Available Shifts: 8 Hour/Day

An urologist is needed to provide services at this outpatient clinic on a locum tenens basis while regular staff recruitment is in progress. The assignment will begin immediately upon the completion of credentialing and last for approximately three months. Working hours are from 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

A urologist (locum tenens) treats conditions that affect urinary tracts and reproductive systems of men and women, including organs such as the uterus, urethra, and urinary bladder. These physicians generally work in private practice and their patients are referred to them through primary care or family physicians. Urologists make use of a range of medical technology to assist them in diagnoses, such as x-rays and catheters. They will prescribe medication, physical therapy, make nutritional recommendations and even perform surgeries when necessary.


Required Qualifications
The physician will have an active BLS and ACLS prior to the start date.

Redding is a city located off Interstate 5 and between the Canadian and Mexican borders. The Sacramento River also goes through this city. During the 1950’s there was a great expansion of the lumber industry and two major dams in the Redding area now known as, the “Whiskeytown Dam†and the “Keswick Damâ€, were built. During the housing and retail boom of the late 1980’s the population of Redding grew to 66,462.
