Job Description

Last Update: 1/28/15
There is an opportunity to join one full time Urologist in a hospital employed multi-specialty group in northern IL. They are looking to add another due to unmet patient load, plus the current physician is in the range of retirement within the next few years. They are looking for a general urologist and fellowship training is not required. There is the ability to perform laparoscopic surgery, though there is not a surgical robot currently available. Clinic service area is 100,000 and serves as the dominant health care provider for the residents in the area. There is only one other urologist in the area and he is in a solo private practice. The current employed Urologist takes call everyday for his own clinic patients and that may be shared with the new urologist. He is also currently on call only 10 days a month for the hospital. There is EMR throughout the clinic with computers in each room. There is also on-site lab and diagnostic imaging. The clinic is attached to the 125 bed hospital. One Big advantage of the opportunity is that there is a steady referral stream of more than 30 primary care providers between the clinic and hospital who refer directly to their specialists. There are about 115 physicians on the medical staff. First year highly competitive guarantee with a possible second year guarantee upon review. Possible signing bonus, loan repayment and stipend during residency with a signed contract are all open to discussion. Excellent benefits including 401K , CME, vacation and assistance with relocation expenses.

Located just over an hour from the west suburbs of Chicago.
