JOB SUMMARY:

Under general supervision, defines, reviews, analyzes and evaluates fundamental business systems and user needs to define and formulate business requirements for current and new applications systems in the healthcare industry. MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manages the overall planning and execution of integration strategy for interim and future states of integration for Practice Management, Scheduling, Referrals and EMR solutions as well as identifying and defining integration links with custom built Customer Contact Management Solution
  • Leads, mentors and manages other team members to allow them to be successful contributors to the long term integration solution
  • Applies prior experience in EMR implementation to successfully support integration requirements definition.
  • Serves as the key point for planning and leading all aspects of the integration projects including project work plan development and management, planning and conducting design sessions with key business users and translating the business needs to the system solution
  • Confers with business to define and establish end user requirements for existing and new application systems and to clearly identify how the business needs should drive interface strategy
  • Establishes a strong working relationship with end user organization and to function as the end users representative on technology issues
  • Draws on prior EMR implementation experience to serve as a resource and leader for other team members
  • Provides training and support for all new applications and fixes applied to the production environment
  • Proactively works with IT and the business to manage and resolve production application issues from identification through resolution
  • Prepares workflow charts and diagrams to document business and systems workflows for existing and new applications
  • Plans and prepares business documents, reports, memoranda, and instructional manuals as documentation of project requirements and workflows
  • Assists developers in resolution of work problems related to flow charts, project specifications, or business requirements understanding
  • Prepares project timelines, schedules, estimates and resource planning to support key business projects

JOB-RELATED SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:

  • Strong knowledge and experience in clinic processes for healthcare. Must have exceptional understanding of the business processes that are used to support patient flow in the urgent care setting and be able to apply this business understanding to solution implementation and integration strategy as well as implementation
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Product Suite
  • Exceptional ability to identify business requirements and translate those into the configuration parameters in the packaged solution
  • Experience in leading a teams of 4 6 people ensuring that resources have clear direction and assignments as well as ongoing follow up
  • Experience managing and resolving design issues
  • Experience with eliciting requirements from business users and stakeholders
  • Experience conducting design sessions with key business users and stakeholders
  • Experience in translating the results of design sessions into configuration requirements
  • Exceptional ability to identify and track issues and drive them to a conclusion
  • Experience in developing a detailed project plan to guide projects. Ability to utilize the project plan to provide ongoing status on progress.
  • Experience producing project artifacts to include status reports, business requirements, non-technical design documents, etc.
  • Effective oral and written communication
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services including customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
