JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for providing centralized registration and charge entry support for Urgent Care at all Concentra locations. Coordinates closely with CBO urgent care staff and reports to urgent care operations.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Verifies that visit information either faxed through Rightfax or scanned through Practice Velocity is complete in accordance with established visit documentation guidelines.
Coordinates with Concentra centers to obtain complete visit information as needed.
Completes all patient registration functions for limited urgent care centers utilizing visit information faxed via Rightfax in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Verifies key pieces of patient registration information for basic and comprehensive centers utilizing visit information scanned though Practice Velocity.
Enters diagnosis codes for all urgent care visits based on either the diagnosis code(s) indicated on the visit documentation or a clear description of the diagnosis if documented.
Enters charges for all urgent care visits, reviewing the visit documentation and the charge ticket to ensure all charges are captured.
Enters all required modifiers based on CPT and CMS coding guidelines and Concentra standards as a function of charge entry.
Provides routine feedback to Concentra centers regarding the quality of the visit documentation submitted using established processes and forms.
Coordinates as needed with the CBO regarding daily/weekly/monthly center cash log processes.
Coordinates with CBO billing function on month end close activities ensuring that centers are ready to close by month end close date.
Assists the CBO as needed with retrieval of visit information for A/R management activities.
All other related duties, as may be assigned.
