Job Description
Advantage Locums has several Urgent Care Locum Tenens Positions available in Illinois. Our client in Illinois would be willing to consider full or part time Urgent Care Physicians. These Urgent Care facilities are looking for help over the next couple of months as they recruit permanent Urgent Care Physicians. Shifts at these facilities are 12 hour shifts and the Urgent Care Physician will be seeing about 25-30 patients per day. I have a few different locations in Illinois to choose from.
Currently seeking a board certified Urgent Care Physician.
o In this role the physician will be working in an acute care setting providing care typically seen in urgent care. Urgent Care (locum tenens) is a division of medicine devoted to providing immediate care to patients suffering from acute illness. As the urgent care physician, you will deal with a wide range of cases ranging from complex and exotic to routine on a daily basis. Generally speaking, patients visit urgent care centers when they are unable to see their primary care physician and dont want to go to the Emergency Room.
o Duties and responsibilities of the Urgent Care Physician:
Procedures performed in urgent care include minor laceration repairs, foreign body removal and incision and drainage of simple abscesses.
The Urgent Care Physician will deal with sports and minor orthopedic injuries, splinting and minor trauma care from work related accidents
o Requirements of the Urgent Care Physician:
o Candidate must be experienced in Urgent Care or Emergency Medicine
o Physicians must be BLS and PALS certified
o Board Certification in EM Emergency Medicine, FP Family Medicine or IM Internal Medicine
