Telepsychiatrist - Physician - (Psychiatry - Telemedicine) Locum Tenens
StartDate: 02/23/2015Available Shifts: 8 Hour/Day
Telemedicine services needed at site to provide services to other locations. Provider will be treating inmates needing evaluations and medicine checks. Schedule will be Monday-Friday , 8-4:30 pm. Please contact Staff Care for more information!
Telepsychiatry (locum tenens) is the practice of telemedicine in the field of psychiatry. For adults, telepsychiatry can help in cases where adults are not able to get to a hospital for service, live outside of rural areas, and are needing care for issues and/or disorders. Using technology, in telepsychiatry a psychiatrist will have a two-way video conferencing system to visit with the adult patient. This type of technology is becoming more readily used as the number of psychiatrists is limited in many areas.
Required Qualifications
Active Texas license
Comfortable treating all types of cases with adults.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with electronic medical records.
Facility Location
This city is home to Candy Cane Park and also very close to the famous Lake Conroe where it got its name from. Corinna Kirsch, the famous art critic, is from Conroe. During the oil profits in the 1930’s, for a short period of time, Conroe boasted having many millionaires living in its city, and in 1955, Elvis Presley performed at a High School football field in Conroe.
