Telepsychiatrist - Physician - (Psychiatry - Telemedicine) Locum Tenens
StartDate: 12/02/2014Available Shifts: Part Time
Part time Tele - Psychiatrist is needed in Maryland for an immediate and ongoing opportunity. Schedule is 12 - 16 hours a week with no call or weekend coverage. The physician will see all ages, perform evaluations, consults and medication management. Call Staff Care today if you would like to hear more about this opportunity.
Telepsychiatry (locum tenens) is the practice of telemedicine in the field of psychiatry. For adults, telepsychiatry can help in cases where adults are not able to get to a hospital for service, live outside of rural areas, and are needing care for issues and/or disorders. Using technology, in telepsychiatry a psychiatrist will have a two-way video conferencing system to visit with the adult patient. This type of technology is becoming more readily used as the number of psychiatrists is limited in many areas.
Required Qualifications
- Active Maryland State license
- Board Certified or Board Eligible
