Telepsychiatrist - Physician - (Psychiatry - Telemedicine -Peds) Locum Tenens
StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: 8 Hour/Day
Outpatient full time child Psychiatrist is needed in western Ohio for an immediate and ongoing opportunity. Clinic hours are Monday - Friday 8:30 am-5:30 pm, no weekends and no call. The clinic will consider a general Psychiatrist that has experience with children. The physician will see all ages with 98% of patients being children; and will perform evaluations, consults, and medication management. Pediatric telepsychiatry (locum tenens) is the practice of telemedicine in the field of psychiatry. For children, telepsychiatry can help in cases where children are not able to get to a hospital for service, live outside of rural areas, and are needing care for issues and/or disorders. Using technology, in telepsychiatry a psychiatrist will have a two-way video conferencing system to visit with the child patient. This type of technology is becoming more readily used as the number of child psychiatrists is limited in many areas.
