Telepsychiatrist - Physician - (Psychiatry - Telemedicine) Locum Tenens
StartDate: 05/01/2013Available Shifts: 8 Hour/Day
A part time locums Psychiatrist needed for a Tele-Psychiatry opportunity to begin immediately in Kentucky. The schedule is flexible for 1 day per week coverage. Physician is not required to cover call schedule for evenings or weekend. The Psychiatrist will see adult patients with all types of cases. Telepsychiatry (locum tenens) is the practice of telemedicine in the field of psychiatry. For adults, telepsychiatry can help in cases where adults are not able to get to a hospital for service, live outside of rural areas, and are needing care for issues and/or disorders. Using technology, in telepsychiatry a psychiatrist will have a two-way video conferencing system to visit with the adult patient. This type of technology is becoming more readily used as the number of psychiatrists is limited in many areas.
Required Qualifications
Physician must have active NPI, Medicare and Kentucky state license.
Psychiatrist will need to be a clean Kentucky license.
Preferred Qualifications
Need to be comfortable treating all types of adult patients.
Open to board certified or board eligible candidates.
