Telepsychiatrist - Physician - (Psychiatry - Telemedicine) Locum Tenens
StartDate: 04/23/2013Available Shifts: Part Time
A part time Locoms Psychiatrist is needed for anTele-Psychiatry opportunity to begin immediately in Virginia.The schedule is flexible..depending on the day of the week the provider is available, no weekends and no call. The physician will see adult patients, perform evaluations, consults and medication management via telemedicine. Call Staff Care today if you would like to hear more about this opportunity.
Telepsychiatry (locum tenens) is the practice of telemedicine in the field of psychiatry. For adults, telepsychiatry can help in cases where adults are not able to get to a hospital for service, live outside of rural areas, and are needing care for issues and/or disorders. Using technology, in telepsychiatry a psychiatrist will have a two-way video conferencing system to visit with the adult patient. This type of technology is becoming more readily used as the number of psychiatrists is limited in many areas.
Required Qualifications
Physician must have active NPI, Medicare and Virginia state license
Preferred Qualifications
Must be comfortable treating all types of adult patients.
Opent to Board Certified or Board Eligible candidates.
