Telepsychiatrist - Physician - (Psychiatry - Telemedicine) Locum Tenens
StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: 8 Hour/Day
An adult part time Psychiatrist is needed for a Tele-Psychiatrist position at a state hospital in Illinois The schedule is 20 hours per week and the provider will be practicing tele-medicine from his or her home or office. The physician will see adult patients in an inpatient unit performing evaluations, consults, and medication management. Call Staff Care today for additional details on this opportunity!
Telepsychiatry (locum tenens) is the practice of telemedicine in the field of psychiatry. For adults, telepsychiatry can help in cases where adults are not able to get to a hospital for service, live outside of rural areas, and are needing care for issues and/or disorders. Using technology, in telepsychiatry a psychiatrist will have a two-way video conferencing system to visit with the adult patient. This type of technology is becoming more readily used as the number of psychiatrists is limited in many areas.
