Telepsychiatrist - Physician - (Psychiatry - Telemedicine -Peds) Locum Tenens
StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: Part Time

A Part Time Locum Psychiatrist is needed in Virginia for an immediate and ongoing Tele-Psychiatry opportunity. The schedule is flexible three days per week, no weekends and no call. The physician will see all children. The physician will perform evaluations, consults and medication management by video communications. The site utilizes EMRs and is willing to train. Pediatric telepsychiatry (locum tenens) is the practice of telemedicine in the field of psychiatry. For children, telepsychiatry can help in cases where children are not able to get to a hospital for service, live outside of rural areas, and are needing care for issues and/or disorders. Using technology, in telepsychiatry a psychiatrist will have a two-way video conferencing system to visit with the child patient. This type of technology is becoming more readily used as the number of child psychiatrists is limited in many areas.

Required Qualifications
- Virginia License
- Comfortable working with electronic medical records
- Comfortable providing care via video communications

Preferred Qualifications
- Comfortable working in a team environment
- Familiar with Tele-Psychiatry a plus
