NO VISA'S. Employed setting through hospital clinic corp. Replacing a departing physician . Open to fellows on a case by case (especially Vascular, Laparoscopic or M.I.S.). Competitive financials (with salary, incentive, benefits, and potential for signing/commencement bonus, medical education debt assistance, medical stipend while in residency/fellowship. Office space available in departing physician?s office (2,500 square feet, has served as a General Surgery clinic office for 15+ years). Hospital currently has 3 OR suites along with 1 Endo/Scope room. Outpatient Surgical Volume: 2010 = 1,537, 2011 = 1,677. Inpatient Surgical Volume: 2010 = 566, 2011 = 625. Total Surgeries 2012 = 921 Total Surgeries 2013 (as of April) = 252. ER volume (2012) = 22,000 Admissions/Observations (2012) = 5,300. Hospital has 24/7 contracted MD Anesthesia coverage (2 CRNAs) Potential Call coverage; every other weekend (1 in 2). Block OR time Monday ? Friday. OR staff well trained and has worked with other General Surgeons in the past. Employment or financial support to start up private practice. 3 OR suites; OR staff has been here & together for 8+ years and is highly competent; OR is scheduled in block times and to follow by working with small group of surgeons to come up with a schedule satisfactory to all.
Hospital recently underwent $13 million renovation. Veteran OR staff. Small but congenial medical staff devoid of politics. Small-town life with low cost of living but yet just over an hour to Lexington, KY.
