· Level I or II Trauma training/experience required as Doctors Medical Center is an ACS verified level II Trauma Center.
· Additional experience or training in Laparoscopic, Colorectal, or Surgical Oncology a plus.
You would be joining a large multi-specialty group consisting of 28 physicians under a non-profit Medical Foundation model that allows physicians to enjoy the autonomy of private practice with the security of being employed. The Medical Foundation manages all administrative duties for physicians including marketing, staffing, billing/collecting, etc. The offices are located adjacent to Doctors Medical Center of Modesto, a 465-bed multi-specialty Level II Trauma Center (www.dmc-modesto.com). The generous compensation package includes salary guarantee (based on FMV guidelines), relocation package, full health/dental/vision benefits package, 401k, deferred compensation plan, CME allowance, as well as malpractice/tail insurance coverage. After guarantee period, your income is based on productivity (wRVU model). This is a great opportunity as this is an extremely flexible employment model where physicians determine their own work load and schedule, and your income is commiserate to production. Additionally, trauma call is compensated at $500 per day.
