Job Description & Requirements
Surgeon - (Surgery - General) Locum Tenens
StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: 8 Hour/Day
The Indian Hospital in Northwest New Mexico is in need of a full time General Surgeon to begin as soon as credentialing is completed through December 31st. The General Surgeon will rotate call, averaging 10 nights of call per month including 1 to 2 weekends. The Physician must be experienced and able to do colonoscopies and EGD's.
A general surgeon(locum tenens) is trained and qualified to perform a wide range of surgical procedures and thus must be familiar with a wealth of medical conditions and treatments. These surgeons may be tasked with operations ranging from burn trauma to vascular surgery, though they do not usually perform highly complex surgical operations, such as treatments of the heart or brain, which are performed by specialized surgeons.
Required Qualifications
Any state license is accepted for this contract
BLS, ACLS and DEA are required prior to start date
Candidates must have previous EMR experience
