Orthopedic Surgeon - (Ortho Surg) Locum Tenens
StartDate: 08/25/2014Available Shifts: 8 Hour/Day
An orthopedic surgeon is needed to provide coverage at this hospital starting as soon as credentialing can be completed. The assignment would last for a period of six months, or until a permanent staff hire can be identified. Working hours are eight hours per day, Monday through Friday.
An orthopedic surgeon (locum tenens) treats muscle and skeletal problems such as those that accompany diseases like arthritis or with injury or trauma. Orthopedic surgeons who specialize in foot and ankle procedures have completed fellowships of focused training in these physiological areas. When a patient requires a complex surgery in the foot or ankle, general orthopedic physicians will refer them to foot/ankle specialists.
Required Qualifications
The physician shall be either board certified or board eligible in orthopedic surgery, and recent training in total joints is desired. BLS will be needed prior to the start date.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with the geriatric population is considered a plus.
