Surgeon - (Surgery - General) Locum Tenens
StartDate: 06/17/2014Available Shifts: 24 Hour/Day
Staff Care represents an locums opportunity in the state of Washington for a General or Trauma Surgeon to help out with 24 Hour call at the hospital. All times are 7a to 7a. Please contact Staff Care for more information.
A general surgeon(locum tenens) is trained and qualified to perform a wide range of surgical procedures and thus must be familiar with a wealth of medical conditions and treatments. These surgeons may be tasked with operations ranging from burn trauma to vascular surgery, though they do not usually perform highly complex surgical operations, such as treatments of the heart or brain, which are performed by specialized surgeons.
Required Qualifications
Board Certified or truly Board Eligible within 5 years.
-Advance Cardiac Life Support
-Advance Trauma Life Support.
Preferred Qualifications
Fellowship in trauma is preferred but not required.

Located in central Washington, this 214 bed hospital provides the area's only open-heart surgery, state-of-the-art imaging services, a robotic surgery center, neurosurgery, and inpatient rehabilitation. It offers Level 1 Cardiac, Level II Stroke, and Level III Trauma services. The hospital is one of only two single stay cardiac units in Washington state.
